Margaret Daude Kinder (1756-1845) was a resident of Montgomery County, Virginia when she received word that her husband had been seriously wounded at the Battle of Guilford Courthouse. She and her brother-in-law traveled to Salem, North Carolina, where Margaret found her husband and helped him recuperate until he was well enough to travel back home.
