Be it known that on this 24th. day of November 1845, Came before me a Justice of the peace for the County and State a foresaid personally appeared, July Ann Chappel aged Ninety three years first being duly sworn according to law, deposeth and saith, that She was personally acquainted with Peter Kinder and he his wife before they ware married and after, and that she lived with them one winter after they ware married, She new that he was called of to the war, and she was told that he was wounded in the war and She new that Peter Kinders wife went over the blue Ridge some whare to bring her husband home after he was wounded, She distinctly recollects that he was wounded in the Revolutionary War, and farther this deponant saith not.

Mathews, Clerk of the County Court of the County of Wythe, in the State of Virginia, do certify, that George Hudson, before whom the foregoing affidavit was sworn and Subscribed, was at the time said affidavit was made, and still is an acting Magistrate of said County of Wythe, duly Commissioned, and that the foregoing Signature, purporting to be his is genuine.

In testimony whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed the seal of the said Court, this 20th. day of December in the year 1845.
