Mary Bailey Yarborough (1758-1849) was a resident of Halifax, North Carolina. After her husband was shot in the spine during the Battle of Halifax in March 1781, Mary helped take care of his injuries. She also helped her father plow the family's farming fields while her husband and brothers were away in service.
