Be it known that on 24th day of February ^January^ in the year, 1854 personally appeared ^before me^ the undersigned, Justice of the peace, in and for the county, afforesaid Nancy Boyd, aged 83 years, a resident, of the County and State afforesaid, and known to me to be respectiable, and of disposing, memory, who on Oath make the following Statement, That she was personally, acquainted, with Randolph Yarbrough decd. in the State of Virginia from her, most Earlyest Recollection who was late, of Bath County Kentucky; that he informed witness, that he entered, the service, in the war of the Revolution in the county of Halifax State of North Carolina, about the year 1780, under Captain Powel, witness well remember that said ^Randolph Yarbrough^ came to Brunswick, County State of Virginia on Furlough from Capt Powel, and that said Randolph Yarbrough, was then married in said county to Mary Bailey, lawfully, about the year 1780, By one John King a Baptist Preacher before the Battle of Guilford; in N. Carolina and well acquainted, and was well acquainted with the circumstances, connected with their marriage and knows it was before said Battle, and that said Randolph Yarbrough continued in the service of the United States in the war of the Revolution, under Capt Powel, untill he resigned, his Commission, and that said Randolph Yarbrough, enterd the service under again under Capt Kidd, under whom he served untill the close of the war 1783. While he was in the service afforsaid he was badly wounded, at a Battle in the county of, Halifax, state of North Carolina and well acquainted was well Witness was well acquainted, with said Randolph Yarbrough in Bath County State of Kentucky, and his wife Mary, to the date of both of their deaths and known to be the same Randolph Yarbrough, who was a soldier in the Revolution, in the state of North Carolina as aforesaid and that they lived together, as man and wife, from the date of their said marriage, to the date of said Randolph Yarbrough's death and their marriage and his services afforesaid was never, doubted, he was a man of good Character, and belevid by his Neighbours, where he lived that he had served in the war of the Revolution. furthe Witness further knows, that, he died, in Bath or Fleming County, Ky many years since, leaving at his death his wife Mary Yarbrough, a widow, who remained a widow to the date she died, in Morgan County Ky at her ^at^ oldest sons Houses and at her death she left 4 only surviving Children, who is now living by her the said Husband Randolph Yarbrough deceased whose names, viz, Thomas Yarbroughaged aged 71 years, John Yarbrough aged 62 years, William Yarbrough age 57, Lucy Yarbrough now Lucy Tanner aged 60 years Being the only surviving Children of the said Mary Yarbrough decd. and by her said Husband Randolph Yarbrough decd. and is personally know to witness, that said Randolph Yarbrough decd. is the identical man who is the husband of Mary Yarbrough afforesaid dec, his widow whois Children is more the now the aplicants for this pension for Bath county, Kentucky, to the Pension office at Washington City, and sworn ^that^ She is a disinterested witness.

Sworn to and subscribed ^before me^ on the day and year afforesaid, and I Certify and I Certify, that Nancy Boyd whois name appears to the foregoing, deposition that her, signature, is genuine and that she is reputable and her oath is entitled to full Faith and Credit that she is of Good Mind and of disposing Memory and I believe her to be of the age stated, and her statements, to be true. And that she is a resident citizen of Bath County, and State of Kentucky, and was, before that erasures or interlineations, was made before signed, and I have no Intrest in the result, of this Pension nor concerned in its prossicution, and said deposition was read and Explained to said Nancy Boyd be fore signed also interlined before assigned
