Nathan Everett (d. c1782) was a resident of Tyrrell County. In the summer of 1777 he became a member of the Gourd Patch Conspiracy as the behest of his son John. Nathan later held religious readings at his house, which John used as an opportunity to recruit more members to the plot. When the conspiracy was discovered, Nathan gave a sworn deposition attesting to his knowledge of and involvement in the plot and later appeared on a list of witnesses who had evidence against his son John. Nathan also served as a security for several members of the plot on their bonds before the Edenton District Court of Oyer and Terminer.
