Thomas Everett was a resident of Tyrrell County. Although no one testified that Thomas Everett was involved in the Gourd Patch Conspiracy, both his father Nathan and his brother John were named as collaborators in the plot. In 1777 he served as a security for his brother John, who had to testify about his involvement in the conspiracy before the Edenton District Court of Oyer and Terminer. He may have also been a witness to or been able to provide evidence in Nathan Mayo's murder trial.
