Zachariah Hester personally appeared in open Court & being duly sworn according to law, Testifies & declares that he knows that William Taburn Senr. was a soldier in the Revolutionary War—said Taburn is older than this affiant who will be 72 years of age the 13th. January 1833—
This affiant was a Soldier with Said William Taburn in a three months tour and in the Course of their tour we marched to the Catawba where he join'd the main Army under Genl Greene—
This affiant was also a Brother Soldier with said Taburn in the Expedition to the Savanah River ^on a Tour of five months^ and We, with others were discharged and this affiant and said Taburn & others came home together—This tour was for five Months after we left the State of North Carolina subscribed & sworn in open Court this 5th. day of September 1832
And the Court doth hereby declare its opinion that the Statment made in the foregoing affidavit are true & that he is a person whose Statment is entitled to Credit—Sepr. 8th. 1832—
