Dear Sir,
In answer to your inquiry of this date relative to the number of convicts that have made their escape from the Spartanburg and Asheville Railroad since Oct. 31, 1876, also the number furnished since that time, I have the honor to report, that 2 have made their escape, and 26 have been furnished the said Road.
