Be it known that on this 5th: day of December 1845 personally appeared Elija Hawkins before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace in and for the county aforesaid and affirmed that the facts set fourth in the foregoing statement are true

Mathews, Clerk of the County Court of the County of Wythe, in the State of Virginia do certify that Jonas Huddle before whom the foregoing affidavit was sworn and subscribed, was at the time said affidavit was made, and still is an acting Magistrate of said County of Wythe, duly Commissioned, and that the foregoing signature, purporting to be his, is genuine.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto Subscribed my name and affixed the Seal of the said Court this 20th. day of December in the year 1845.
