Hon. Ruffin G. Pleasant,
Governor of Louisana,
Baton Rouge, La.

The Cotton Convention held in New Orleans on February fourth passed resolutions calling for the reduction of one third of the acreage for nineteen nineteen. A big meeting will be held in Raleigh on the eleventh of this month, and meetings in every county and township in the State at a later date. We have our plans well under way, and it would seem unnecessary to attend a second convention in New Orleans.

February twenty-second will be observed as set out in your telegram.

T. W. Bickett,
Governor.
