John Campbell (ca. 1700-1781) was an influential merchant and political figure who served as a representative for Chowan (1744) and Bertie (1767-1769, 1773) Counties in the legislature, Speaker of the Assembly (1754-1756), and member of the Fourth Provincial Congress convened at Halifax (1776).
