Biographical Description

William Savage was a resident of Guilford County, North Carolina. Following the Battle of Alamance, Savage made a deposition in support of John Pugh, a prominent Regulator. In his deposition, Savage gave John Pugh an alibi for the Hillsborough Riot that happened in September 1770, hoping to help Pugh receive a pardon. Any further information about William Savage, including his date of death has not been located.
