Biographical Description

Ann Jones was a resident of Guilford County, North Carolina. Coming from a family of Regulator sympathizers, following the Battle of Alamance Jones made a deposition in support of John Pugh, a prominent Regulator. In her deposition, Jones gave John Pugh an alibi for the Hillsborough Riot that happened in September 1770, hoping to help Pugh receive a pardon. Any further information about this individual has not been located.
