Biographical Description

Elizabeth Strange's husband, John Strange, was wounded in the knee while serving in the North Carolina militia during the War of Regulation. He later drowned due to this injury. In 1773 Elizabeth successfully petitioned the North Carolina Colonial Assembly for a widow's pension. She was awarded fifteen pounds per year. Any further information about Elizabeth Strange, including her date of death has not been located.
