Thomas Bray was one of the largest landholders in Chowan Precinct, North Carolina. In 1719 he acted as an attorney for John White, a Chowanoke man who had been accused of selling liquor without a license. Bray is not the same individual as Revd. Dr. Thomas Bray (c1656-1730) who funded the first library in colonial North Carolina and resided in England for most of his life. Bray died sometime after July 1720.
