Biographical Description
Christopher Taylor was born in Bedford County, Virginia in about 1746. In 1768 he married Mary Edwards. In 1776 he joined the Tennessee State Militia as a captain in the Washington County Regiment and served throughout the war on numerous expeditions against the American Indians residing in the Tennessee frontier. He died in Washington County, Tennessee on September 10, 1833.
