Biographical Description

John Darrach was born in Bladen County, North Carolina on September 22, 1757. During the American Revolution he served as a private in the Bladen County Regiment of the North Carolina Militia on various tours between 1775 and 1781. He served under the command of Captain James Shipman and Colonel Thomas Brown, among others. He died January 22, 1844.
