Biographical Description
Caleb Calvin Matthews was born in Forsyth County, North Carolina, on June 9, 1868. Matthews was a merchant in the community of Siloam (Surry County) where he served as chairman of the Siloam Township Highway Commissioners. He died in Mount Airy (Surry County) on June 19, 1933.
