Biographical Description

Thomas Hurst was a resident of Martin County. In 1777 he may have been a member of the Gourd Patch Conspiracy, as John Hodge made a deposition stating that Hurst told Hodge that James Rawlings had written the secret organization's constitution. Any other information tying Hurst to the plot has not been located.
