Biographical Description

Robert Knox was a planter in Bertie County. In 1777 he became a member of the Gourd Patch Conspiracy when he swore an oath to that organization's constitution before Daniel Leggett. He later appeared on a list of witnesses who could provide evidence against Daniel Leggett and his father Absolem Leggett at the Edenton District Court of Oyer and Terminer.
