Mary Nichols was born in about 1720 and became a resident of Chowan County, North Carolina by 1744 when she married John Crickett. After John Crickett's death in 1755, Mary married Jonathan Littledale in about 1759. In 1774 Mary Littledale and her two daughters signed a nonimportation agreement that later became known as the Edenton Tea Party Resolves. Mary Littledale survived her husband's death in 1774 and died sometime after 1786.
