Biographical Description
Leander Martin Cox was born in Cumberland County, Virginia on May 7, 1812. A lawyer, he was a member of the Kentucky House of Representatives from 1843-1845. He later represented Kentucky in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1853-1857. He died in Flemingsburg, Kentucky on May 19, 1865.
