Lucinda Marshall Sledge Tucker was born in Franklin County, North Carolina on February 18, 1799. She married Ruffin Tucker, a prominent merchant in Raleigh, and the couple had three sons. She died in Raleigh, Wake County, North Carolina on January 1, 1867.
