Biographical Description
William H. H.. Tucker was born in Raleigh on June 17, 1822. Along with his brothers, Tucker operated a major dry goods store off Nash Square in Raleigh. Often referred to as "colonel," he presumably served some time in the state militia or another armed force. He died in Raleigh on May 25, 1882.
