Biographical Description
Mary Sumner Clark Thomas was born in Edgecombe County, North Carolina on January 27, 1819. She married William George Thomas, a physician, in 1843 and the couple resided in Tarboro, Edgecombe County, North Carolina and later in Wilmington, New Hanover County, where they had at least four children. She died in Wilmington, New Hanover, North Carolina on March 10, 1901.
