Biographical Description
Charles Dewey was born in Goldsboro (Wayne County), North Carolina on December 10, 1851. Dewey was a prominent businessman and banker in Goldsboro who served as a trustee of the Caswell Training School (formerly the North Carolina School for the Feeble Minded) in Kinston. He died in Goldsboro on February 17, 1924.
