Biographical Description
William Archibald McGirt was born in Wilmington (New Hanover County), North Carolina, on December 30, 1883. McGirt was an insurance and real estate agent who served as a member of the New Hanover County Board of Commissioners (1912-1918), serving as the board's chairman from 1914 to 1918. He died in Wilmington on July 2, 1966.
