Biographical Description
Edgar Carlton Mayo was born in Madison County, North Carolina on October 29, 1895. Mayo was a veteran of World War I who for forty-six years served as a fireman with the Southern Railway Company. He died at Oteen in Buncombe County on October 15, 1967.
