Biographical Description
Plato Collins was born in Lenoir County, North Carolina, on July 15, 1870. Collins was an attorney and former newspaper assistant editor who served as clerk of the superior court in Lenoir County for fifteen years. He later managed a lumber yard. Collins died in Kinston (Lenoir County) on December 8, 1942.
