Biographical Description
Paul Howard Gearhart was born in Warren, Ohio, on January 28, 1889. Gearhart was a forestry expert who served as forest engineer for the Mount Mitchell Commission in the state's quest to conserve the mountain. He died in Buffalo, New York, on August 15, 1963.
