Richard Huff was a resident of Tyrrell County. In 1777 he served as security on a bond for his father-in-law Nathan Everett, and his brother-in-law John Everett, who both had to appear before the Court of Oyer & Terminer at Edenton to testify about their involvement in the Gourd Patch Conspiracy.
