General Edward Braddock (1695-1755) was the commander-in-chief of the thirteen American colonies for the British Army during the French and Indian War. Braddock is best remembered his failure to oust the French from the Ohio River Valley. He was mortally wounded at the Battle of Monongahela and died at Great Meadows, Pennsylvania, on July 13, 1755.
