From: The Acting Adjutant General.

To: All applicants for commissions as veterinary surgeons in the North Carolina National Guard.

Subject: Veterinarians for the National Guard.

1. For the purpose of acquainting all persons desiring to procure appointment as veterinarians in the North Carolina National Guard the Governor directs that the letter printed below be published for the information and guidance of all concerned.

2. The provisions of the law relating to eligibility of candidates will be strictly complied with. No person who is disqualified for any cause whatsoever need apply for the reason that none of the requirements will be waived by the Federal authorities.

3. Applications for appointment should be made in long hand and addressed to Brigadier General B. S. Royster, The Acting Adjutant General, Raleigh, N.C.
