On this 3d day of April A.D. one thousand eight hundred and fifty five—personally appeared before me a justice of the Peace, within and for the County and State aforesaid Susanna Alexander aged Ninety Five years, a resident of Sugar Creek congregation in the State of North Carolina, who being duly sworn according to law, declares that she is the widow of John Alexander deceased who was a Soldier of the Revolutionary War, for whose services she is now drawing a pension at the rate of Thirty dollars per annum, she was placed in the pension list the 3d. day of December 1851, And beggs to refer to the proof on file in the pension office upon which she was allowed said pension, for the proof of her husbands services, the date of her marriage with him, & the date of his death, That she was never married again after the death of her said husband and that she is now a widow—
She makes this declaration for the purpose of claiming the bounty land to which she may be entitled under the act approved March 3, 1855—
And for the purpose of establishing her Claim she hereby appoints Wm. F. Davidson her agent and Attorney—

We Robt. W. Faires and Susanna A Faires residents of Mecklenburg County in the State of N. Carolina upon our oaths declare that the foregoing declaration was signed and acknowledged by Susanna Alexander in our presence, and that we believe, from the appearance and Statements of the applicant, and from our own knowledge that she is the identical person she represents herself to be—
The foregoing declaration and affidavit were sworn to and subscribed before me on the day and year above written, and I certify that I know the applicant and the affiants to be credible persons, that the claimant is the person she represents herself to be, and that I have no interest in this Claim—
