Personley Came Sarah Jenkins widow of John Jenkins Decesed, before me Edward Rippy an acting Justice of the peace in and for Said County and made oath in Due form of Law, and Deposith and sayth, that She was Married to John Jenkins her late husban in the month of November 1777 before the Experation of his Service in the war of the Revolution. That her husban John Jenkins Came home from the armey on a ferlow, for She was living in farfield District South Carolina no Grate Distance from the armey where her husban was stationed: and they got married and her husban Remained with her a few weaks and Returned back to the armey to serve out his time which was only six or Eight weaks—and She farther sayeth that her husban John Jenkins was afterwards Drafted and went and served as he said a three months tower as a Millitia Soldier—
