Know all men by these presents that we John A Debow and Solomon Debow of the county of Smith and State of Tennessee heirs at law and of Rachel Debow widow of Frederick Debow deceased who in her lifetime was a Revolutionary Pension of the United States do nominate and appoint Adam Fergusson of Carthage Tennessee our true and lawful attorney for as and in our name to persecute our claim to the ballance or arrears of Pension that Should have been allowed our late Mother in right of the Revolutionary Services of our father the Said Frederick Debow and further to furnish all papers and proof necessary with power and attorney or attornies under him to nominate and appoint to act in the premises. I We hereby constitute the said Adam Fergusson my Sole attorney to receive our Pension certificate when allowed for my benefit and further we make this power of attorney irrevocable and revoke all powers of attorney if any heretofore made hereby ratifying and confirming all the lawful acts that our said attorney shall do by virtue hereof witness hands and seal this 18th day of August 1851
