The resolution quoted in that letter should have read as follows:1
"RESOLVED that it is the sense of this meeting, composed of representatives of various Asheville civic organizations, that federal aid be given to the reconstruction and opening of the road from the Catawba-Burke County lines, to the Tennessee state line, and from Rutherfordton to the Buncombe County line on the Hickory Nut Gap road."
