A few days ago, I received a letter from Mr. H. B. Varner, stating that the work on the Bat Cave road would soon be completed and that he had suggested to Supt. Mann that the convicts from that camp be moved to our road, so as to get the work completed as soon as possible.

We would be very glad to have them and will build another camp near the top of the mountain, as this would be as cheap for us, as moving the present camp, whihc would have to be done as the work progresses.

I am writing you this so, if you have any suggestions to make to Mr. Mann, you can do so.

I am also writing Mr. Varner in regard to the matter.
