Franklin Township has voted a fund of $75,000 to $90,000 for good roads and the Commissioners elected to expend the amount in their construction request us to confer with you hoping you can help us in some way either by selecting this County as one of those for Government aid or assigning us a convict force

You know the National Park touches Franklin Township at two or three places within a distance of ten miles and if we can connect with the roads proposed by the government it would be co-operation and of great advantage to all. We would consider your help in this enterprise a very great favor.
