William Harrison (son of James) being brought before us Justices assigned to keep the Peace for said County & being duly sworn on the Holy Evangelist deposeth & Saith that being at Thomas Harrison's Apple Orchard his Brother James Harrison, told him that if he would swear to keep a Secret he would tell him something, which this Deponent agreed to & James Harrison accordingly swore him, to secrecy untill such times as he ^had^ a right to discover it, James Harrison then swore him again to keep secret what the senior Warden who was Daniel Legate should read to him, Legate then read the Constitution to him to him, & asked this deponent how he liked the Constitution he answered he saw no harm in it, Legate then swore him to keep to that constitution as long as it lasted. Legate was administred the third Oath to this Deponent nigh to Nathaniel Everets on a sunday, & Legate likewise told this Deponent that William Collins ^of Martin^ had applied to him for a Copy of the Constitution, ^& that Legate supplied him with it^ he likewise told him they were to oppose a Draft, that they were to provide each man half pound Powder & a proportion of Shott, he likewise told him there was a number of People in other Parts concerned in the Association. This Deponent further saith that one part of third Oath administred to him by Legate was they were not to suffer any person to be drafted & further this Deponant saith not
