Benjamin Moss came before us Justices of the Peace for the County aforesaid & being duly sworn on the Holy Evangelist of Almighty God Deposeth & saith that being at a Reaping at Joseph Hardison's, & there met with William Collins who asked him if he could keep a Secret & swear to it, which this Deponent agreed to Collings swore him, ^twice^ he then told him that if he would go to Daniel Legate he would swear him into the Constitution, but this Deponent refused to go telling him that he was afraid there was mischief in it & would have nothing further ^to do^ in the matter, & never was swore again & further this Deponant saith not
