Biographical Description

James Walker served as a Captain of the artillery during the War of Regulation. On 21 April 1771 he received a payment from General James Moore on behalf of a relative named Ann Walker. Ann Walker was paid for making haversacks for the militia prior to the Battle of Alamance. Every man who enlisted in the militia was given a haversack as part of their payment.
