Biographical Description
William Peyton was an ensign in the North Carolina Militia who was wounded during the Battle of Alamance on 16 May 1771. He later petitioned the North Carolina Colonial Assembly and was successful in winning a pension in November 1771. Any other information about Peyton has not been located.
