Biographical Description
Elizabeth Wellwood was a resident of Chowan County by 1771 when she married Robert Patterson. In 1774 she signed a non-importation agreement that later became known as the Edenton Tea Party Resolves. After surviving her husband's death in 1780 she died in Chowan County in about November 1792.
