Biographical Description

Ralph Fletcher Jr. was a resident of Perquimans Precinct, North Carolina. In 1705 he testified in support of Sanders, an American Indian indentured servant who successfully sued for his freedom. Thought Fletcher's testimony has not survived, it probably related to Fletcher's father, Ralph Sr., who had witnessed Sanders' original indenture contract in 1690. He died in Perquimans in about 1727.
