Biographical Description

John Robins was a Chowanoke Indian man who resided in Chowan Precinct, North Carolina. In the 1730s he held some sort of leadership role within his nation and helped broker the sale of Chowan lands to North Carolinian colonists. He died sometime after 1755. The Robins family, sometimes spelled Robbins, is considered one of the core families of the Chowan Nation.
