Biographical Description

Humphrey Legge was a colonist residing in Pamlico near present-day Bath, North Carolina in 1703. There he and several other men signed a petition to the governor requesting that the colonial government intercede and prevent the nearby Tuscarora and Machapunga nations from fighting one another. Legge died sometime after 1707.
