Mebane, Francis Howard

Biographical Description

Francis Howard Mebane was born in Windsor, North Carolina on April 13, 1892, to Republican politician and educator George Allen Mebane and Jennie Mills Sanderlin Mebane. In 1917, Mebane was principal of the Pantego Colored School in Beaufort County, North Carolina. He died on April 21, 1974 in Greenville, North Carolina.
