John O'Neale was a resident of Hatteras Island by 1708. A colonial agent for the Hatteras Indians that lived there, O'Neale provided them with food, arms, and other supplies at the governor's request in 1720. The Hatteras Indian settlement on the island, called Indian Town, was deeded to O'Neale, who eventually sold it in about 1737. Any further information about this individual has not been identified.
