Biographical Description

John Pearson was a resident of Bertie County, North Carolina. In 1757 he was an attorney who wrote up the grand jury's indictment of James Strawberry, an American Indian man, with the murder of Elizabeth Knott. Pearson died in Bertie in about 1777.
